The short version: 1 Second Daily Cam keeps your diary on your device and in
your own private iCloud. We don't run servers that collect your videos, photos or personal
information, we don't track you, and we don't share anything with third parties. Your moments are
yours.
This Privacy Policy explains how the 1 Second Daily Cam app ("the App"),
developed by Syborg Studios ("we", "us"), handles your information. By using the
App you agree to this policy.
1.What the App accesses, and why
The App asks for permission to use the following, only to provide its core features:
Camera & Microphone — to record your daily one-second clips. Recording
only happens when you tap record.
Photo Library — so you can import a photo or video from your library into a
day, and save finished movies back to your library. The App only reads the items you choose.
Notifications — an optional daily reminder to capture your second. This is a
local notification scheduled on your device; it is off unless you turn it on.
iCloud — to sync your diary across your own devices (see below).
You can change or revoke any of these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app.
2.Where your data lives
Your clips, photos, thumbnails and rendered movies are stored on your device
and, if you enable iCloud, mirrored to your private iCloud database through
Apple's CloudKit.
This iCloud data lives in your personal iCloud account. It is accessible only
to you and your devices.
We have no servers of our own and cannot see, access or collect
your videos, photos or diary content.
None. The App does not collect personal information, does not contain
third-party advertising, and does not include analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not build a profile
of you and there is nothing for us to sell or share.
4.In-app purchases
The App offers an optional one-time purchase to remove the watermark from exported movies.
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store
your payment details — Apple manages the transaction and tells the App only whether the feature has
been unlocked.
5.Keeping your data & deleting it
Clips and movies remain until you delete them in the App.
Deleting a clip or movie removes it from your device and, when iCloud is on, from your iCloud
database on your devices.
Deleting the App removes its on-device data. To remove the iCloud copy as well, you can also
delete the App's data from iCloud in iOS Settings.
6.Children's privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because
no data is sent to us, nothing about a child (or any user) is gathered by us.
7.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with
a new "Last updated" date.
